Farm-tastic Fun!

Reception visit Odds Farm Park
What a gorgeous day we had at the farm!
We started off with a snack but we were desperate to get outside! The sun came out for us whilst we played and we all took our layers off (lots of us were so hot we asked if the splash park was open!).
Next, we went to watch the cow milking demonstration before stroking the cow. We were shocked that cows have four stomachs and loved watching the milk fill up in the bottle.
Lunchtime! The highlight of many school trips - our ravenous bunch inhaled their lunches before going to feed the animals. We were very brave when feeding the goats and the sheep. We saw chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, pigs, piglets, donkeys and lambs too!
Afterwards, we took a walk up to the fields before enjoying a play at the castle. Our imaginations ran wild as we played in the sunshine.
We then went to our next workshop - rabbit time! The children loved stroking the rabbits and finding out what to feed them. We eventually tore ourselves away to go and feed the pigs and piglets.
Finally, we ended the day with a quick stop at the playground before collecting our things and getting back on the bus.
A big thank you to all the parents who helped and additional staff that came along. The children were absolutely fantastic and did themselves and Stokenchurch VERY proud.
So proud of you Reception. It’s been such a lovely day!
